As our new Software Solution Architect in Hearing Instrument Group (HIG), you will become part the Software Solutions (software department of R&D ) team that develops fitting software for hearing instruments, mobile applications and cloud services. You and your software solution architect colleagues are overall accountable for the architecture in Software Solutions, resolving dependencies between our products, our and external services and hearing instrument development.
In Software Solutions we have recently implemented SAFe and the Software Solution Architect will act as business owner for 1 or 2 agile release trains and will also act as epic owner.
The role
You will be responsible for technical analysis, identifying and designing the technical stepping-stones needed to enter new market opportunities and to use new technology. You will work closely together with other architects and with numerous stakeholders on systems design and in advising how to obtain the best level of re-use, performance, technical feasibility etc. Your primary tasks are:
Current focus in our technology strategy is DevOps culture, migration towards cloud applications and modern mobile applications. In addition, we have focus on building a telemetry framework to capture actual user data and performance issues early.
Technical background
You have a master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science combined with a broad technical background within software product development. Ideally, you have some years of work experience working as an architect combined with some managerial experience. Furthermore, you have a passion for new technology, modelling experience and are comfortable decomposing complex systems and negotiating the right interfaces and structures for optimal implementation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
You have leadership skills and good at creating followership interacting with many stakeholders and know that making architecture is very much about communication and involvement of the right people. You have a deep interest for technology and a passion for creating the system overview and setting the systems into a broader context.
